Development Officer – 02 posts (Daily basis)

Applications are invited for the post of Development Officer from Sri Lankan citizens with the following qualifications.

Post :- Development Officer (daily basis)

Daily wage :- Rs. 1958/= + cost of living allowance

Qualifications:- Degree from a recognized University in Geography / Sociology/

Age Limit

Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. Maximum age limit is not applicable to internal candidates or state or provincial public sector employees.

Other matters

Applicants recruited should pay 10% of their salary to the Employees Provident Fund and the Authority contributes 15% of the Salary to the Employees Provident Fund and 3% to the Employees Trist Fund respectively.
Applicants recruited should abide by the Establishment Code, financial regulations of the Western Province, Directives of the Western Provincial Public Service Commission, Directives and regulations already imposed or imposed from time to time by the Government of Sri Lanka or Western Provincial Council.

Method of Recruitment:

Will be interviewed before an interview board appointed by the Chairman of the Waste Management Authority. Applications with out required qualifications, incomplete or late applications will be rejected and the receipt or the rejection of the application will not be intimated. (Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Western Province).

Method of application : Self prepared application inclusive of all the particulars of the self should be sent by registered post addressed to the Chairman, Waste Management Authority (W.P.), Thumbowila, Karadiyana, Piliyandala to be received on or before 14.10.2025. Mention the post applied for on the top left hand corner of the envelope enclosing the application.

Applications of applicants already in the public / Provincial Public service should be sent through the respective heads of their service and no payment will be made for facing the interview Canvassing in any form to the interview board will be treated as a disqualification to the post.
