Tempory Research Assistant

Applications are called for the following posts in the Parasitic Disease Research Unit, Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Colombo to work on a research project funded by the National Institutes of Health, USA.

Qualifications and other requirements:

For Research Assistants:

B.Sc. Special degree with Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics OR equivalent qualifications
Hands on experience in Molecular biology methods such as gene cloning and colony hybridization with non-radioactive probes/ Bioinformatics software is essential
Proficiency in English and IT skills
Ability to work for long hours with efficiency and independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with attention to details A salary, stipend or an allowance will be made available strictly based on individual qualifications and work experience
