VACANCIES

Applications are invited from qualified citizens of Sri Lanka for the following posts that are vacant at the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation under the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs. These posts are permanent with entitlement to Employees Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund.

01. Director (Drama Promotion, Education and Programmes) (HM 1-1) No. of Posts – 01

01.01 Qualifications – External Applicants

• A degree in Drama and Theatre / Education/Aesthetics / Arts / Mass Communication from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission
  with
• A postgraduate (Masters) degree in the relevant field

01.02 Experience

Should have obtained at least fifteen (15) years experience in the relevant field in a “managerial” level post in government, government corporation, board, statutory institution or reputed private sector institution

01.03 Qualifications – Internal Applicants (1 or 2 below)

1. Fulfilling the qualifications for the external applicants as mentioned above.
2. Completion of a satisfactory service period of at least five (05) years in the relevant subject field in Grade 1 post of the Management (MM) Service Category.

01.04 Salary Scale: Rs. 140,640 – 15×4100-202,140/- (per month) (as per Management Services Circular 01/2025)
(As per the above said Circular Basic Salary entitled for year 2025 is Rs. 105,399/-. Entitled to Rs. 17,800/- as Cost of Living Allowance approved by the Treasury.)

01.05 Age:

Should be not less than 35 years and not more than 55 years.

01.06 Method of Selection:

By a structured Interview
