POSTS OF CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT & TECHNICAL MATE on Contract Basis for 02 Years

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka having the following qualifications and experience in the power sector or other industrial construction projects.

1.0 POST OF CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT (Contract Basis / 02 Nos. of Posts)

Duties:

• The incumbent should provide relevant technical inputs for the civil works of construction of Mannar Wind Power Project Phase-III.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Shall have one of the following educational qualifications in the Civil Engineering stream National Diploma in Technology (NDT) or National Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) or Diploma in Technology – Open University of Sri Lanka or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) or National Certificate in Technology (NCT) with 5 years post qualifying experience in relevant field.
• Age should be between 18-30 years.
• Experience on construction of roads, Wind power development projects, Substations and High voltage transmission lines will be an added qualification.
• Should be able to work in English and Sinhala or/and Tamil. Ability to work & communicate in Tamil language will be an added qualification.
• Preference will be given to applicants residing in Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam Districts or Northern Province.

2.0 POST OF TECHNICAL MATE (Contract Basis/ 03 Nos. of Posts)

The applicants should have the following basic qualifications.

• Shall have six (6) Passes in G.C.E.(O/L) Examination including mathematics and mother language in a single attempt or shall have National Vocational Qualification Level 3 (NVQ-3) or above certification in civil, electrical or mechanical fields such
  as:
• National Certificate – Electrician (household/industrial), National Certificate – Electric Motor Winder. National Certificate Pneumatic Technician. National Certificate – Electronic Appliances Technician etc.
• The above qualifications shall be obtained through an affiliated institute under the Ministry of Education. Higher Education and Vocational Training.
• Age should be between 18-25 years.
• Should be able to work in English and Sinhala or/and Tamil. Ability to work & communicate in Tamil language will be an added qualification.
• Preference will be given to applicants residing in Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam Districts or Northern Province / possessing National Vocational Qualification Level 4 (NVQ-4) as above.

Closing Date: 28.03.2025

Selection Criteria: by an interview.

Terms and Conditions of Service:

• The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of 02 years.
• The work place is at Northern Province.
• Candidates should be able to work at the project site in Northern Province for extended hours.

Remuneration:

• Civil Superintendents – EL2 – Initial Salary Step of Civil Superintendent, CEB Salary Structure.
• Technical Mate EN5 Initial Salary Step of Junior Technical Mate, CEB Salary Structure.

Other Benefits:

• Selected candidate will be entitled to Employees Provident Fund (EPF) with Employee’s contribution of 10% and Employer’s contribution of 15%
• Employees Trust Fund (ETF) contribution of 3% by the Employer.
