Job Description

SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modeling, business intelligence, and business continuity. The focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach, and improving customer experience through solutions design, development, and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge. Award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking dynamic individual to join as a Business Systems Analyst (Engineering & Maintenance).
The individual is responsible of connecting the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that the IT systems and solutions align with business objectives, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
Ensures that business needs are effectively translated into IT solutions, contributing to the overall success and competitiveness of the organization.
This job role is primarily focused on supporting Engineering Maintenance through IT systems and services whilst minimizing the departmental expenditures.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analyze all existing manual and system processes, identify new requirements, and document gaps. Seek possibilities of bridging the gaps through the implementation of non- implemented modules of existing systems, version upgrades, or workarounds.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of data within all engineering domains, identifying both in-system and off-system data. Analyze this data and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and implement corrective actions and resolutions.
- Develop tools and procedures to monitor data quality within the Maintenance Information Management System (MIMS). Utilize these tools to identify any data quality issues and propose effective solutions.
- Analyze engineering data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. Develop reports and dashboards to present findings to Engineering management.
- Support and be a part of the MIMS implementation team – support all sectional objectives and assist with implementation and post implementation activities of the Engineering systems. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously seek ways to enhance the performance and value of IT systems and processes.
- Create user manuals and documentation as needed, and train users to ensure they can effectively use the new MIMS and solutions.
- Ensure that IT solutions comply with industry regulations and standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT projects and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree * in relevant field from a recognized University with minimum of 01 year post qualifying Relevant Experience (* Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics etc.)
OR - Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 7 with 3 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline.
