Senior Scientist
Management Assistant – Technical Officer

Organization: Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP)

VACANCIES

Applications are invited from qualified persons for under mentioned employment category in the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy.

(1) Senior Scientist – (HM 1-1)

Qualifications:

External:

A Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Agriculture from a recognized University by the U.G.C. and a postgraduate degree qualification (Masters’) in the relevant field with minimum of 15 years experience in Managerial Level in a Corporation, Board or a reputed Mercantile Establishment.
OR
A Ph.D. Degree in the relevant field and minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service as a Senior Research Officer.

Internal:

A degree in Science or Agriculture with appropriate subject combination and a 02 years post graduate research degree in the relevant field.
AND
A Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and minimum of four (04) years satisfactory service as a Senior Research Officer in the SLCARP.
OR
Minimum of eight (08) years satisfactory service in a post of “Senior Research Officer” in the Senior Academic & Research Category.

Note: Research publications relevant to the respective discipline will be an added qualification.

Salary Code and the Monthly Salary Scale of the employee category

*HM 1-1-2025 Rs. [140,640 – 15 x 4,100 – Rs. 202,640]
(Salary pay based on the Department of Management Services Circular 01/2025)

Age: Age should be not less than 35 years and not more than 50 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.

(2) Management Assistant – Technological (MA 2-2) Technical Officer (Computer Software)

Qualification External:

G.C.E. (A/L) in Science with three passes in one sitting in relevant subject combination and G.C.E. (O/L) six subjects in one sitting with four (04) credit passes including Mathematics, Science and Language (Sinhala / Tamil)
AND
Diploma in the relevant field not below the N.V.Q. Level 05 from a recognized institution.

Internal:

Same as above.

Salary Code and the Monthly Salary Scale of the employee category

*MA 2-2-2025: Rs. [50,540 – 10×540 – 7×630 – 4×1,080 – 20×1,280 – 90,270] (Salary pay based on the Department of Management Services Circular 01/2025)

Age: Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to the internal candidates.
