Vacancies – Project Staff
Applications are invited by the Ministry of Transport for the Recruitment of Staff for the following post vacant in the Railway Efficiency Improvement Project
(REIP) as per Management Services Circular No. 01/2019. This project is implemented jointly by Ministry of Transport and Sri Lanka Railways under Asian Development Bank credit.
Accordingly, applications are hereby called from Sri Lankan citizens who fulfil the pre-requisites i.e. proficiency in English Language, acquaintance of Government rules and regulations and experience in resettlement of persons under foreign funded projects.
Senior Social Safeguard Officer
The Senior Social Safeguard Officer is assigned with the responsibility of implementing the Social and Environmental Programmes effected by relevant sections, active participation in Social and Environmental Safeguard Activities, implementation of re-settlement and acquisition of land and recognizing all social environmental problems arising relevant to every stage of the project and to solve the said issues in accordance with the policy decisions taken by the Deputy Project Director (Social Safeguard) and Assistant Project Director (Social Safeguard).
Required Qualifications
- A Degree in the relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission
or - A qualification recognized by the UGC as equivalent to the Degree of the relevant field
or - A member of a professional institute in the relevant field/similar professional qualification obtained from such institute
or - Having obtained a National Vocational qualification (NVQ) Level 7 Certificate from a Technical Vocational Training Institute approved by Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission
and - Possessing a minimum of 05 years experience relevant to the given field.
Salary Scale :
PS-05 Level – Rs. 105,000.00 113,000.00 (per mensem).
General Conditions:
- Age limit – All applicants should be below 64 years (Applicants aged over 64 years will not be considered).
- Contribution to the Employees Provident Fund (8% from the Employee and 12% from Employer).
- Service Conditions
Initially the appointment will be on contract basis for one (01) year with possibility of extending the term of service based on satisfactory work performance and period of the project.
