Applications are invited for the vacant post of Zonal Director of Education in the Hatton and Kotmale Education Zones of the Central Provincial Education Department

Applications are invited from Grade I officers of the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service for the vacant post of Zonal Director of Education in the Hatton and Kotmale Education Zones of the Central Provincial Education Department.

Qualifications:-

Should be a Grade I officer of the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service.
Should not have been sentenced to a term of 5 years for an offence committed under Schedule I or II of Part II of the Establishments Code and should not be a person who is under any disciplinary action and is about to be subjected to such action.
Must have earned the salary increments as prescribed within 05 years preceding the closing date for receipt of applications and must have completed a satisfactory period of service.
Must have fulfilled all the above qualifications for recruitment to the post as on the date of calling for applications.

Note:-

Certified photocopies of all educational and other certificates in support of qualifications, photocopies of National Identity Card and Birth Certificate should be attached with the application.

Selection Method: –

By means of marks awarded in the interview conducted by an interview board nominated by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Central Province (the relevant marking procedure is attached as Annexure 02).

Submission of Applications: –

Application forms can be obtained from the official website of the Ministry www.cmcp.gov.lk. All applications should be duly and correctly completed and sent by the Head of the Department in accordance with the attached sample application form to the address “Secretary, Ministry of Education, Central Provincial Council Complex, Pallekele.” so as to reach on or before 16.06.2025. The top left corner of the envelope containing the application should be marked “Calling for applications for the vacant post of Zonal Director of Education in Hatton and Kotmale Education Zones in the Central Provincial Education Department.” Applications received after the due date and applications from those who do not meet the qualifications specified by the closing date for calling for applications will be rejected. The Central Provincial Ministry of Education will not entertain any complaints regarding loss or delay of applications.
