Police Constable (Male) Post
- Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Police Constable (Male) in the Sri Lanka Police.
- Applications prepared in accordance with the format given below should be sent to the Director, Recruitment, Apprentice Recruitment Division, No. 375, First Floor, Sri Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Mawatha, Colombo 06. The application should be addressed to the post applied for at the top left corner of the envelope and should be sent by registered post to the above address on or before 21.07.2025. Late applications will not be processed and applications will not be issued by the Sri Lanka Police.
Interviews will be conducted in the order in which applications are received.
This Gazette Notification will be cancelled after the recruitment is made on priority basis based on the vacancies in the post.
03. Salary System – (Monthly)
Rs. 49,550 – 7 x 540 – 670 x 27-6. 71,420.00
This salary calculation has been done as per G.P.C. 10/2025.
Furthermore, these officers are also entitled to the allowances provided as per Sri Lanka Police Notification CRTM 260 RTM 385 dated 15.12.2022. In addition to the above salary scale, the following allowances are available to them on a monthly basis.
- Cost of Living Allowance – Rs.17,800.00
- G.P.C. 10/2025 (with 22% of basic salary) – Rs. 1250.00
- Hardship allowance – Rs. 2,000.00
- Uniform cleaning allowance – Rs. 250.00
- Food and accommodation allowance – Rs. 28,800.00
- Other allowances according to length of service
In addition to these allowances –
- Transport facilities:
- Welfare medical facilities for officers: (Cash assistance can be obtained for treatment even in a foreign country.)
- Uniforms:
- Officers who meet the qualifications will have the opportunity to pursue degree and diploma courses conducted by State Universities, National Police Training Institute and Sri Lanka Higher Educational Institutions:
- His/her sports Facilities for developing skills and natural abilities –
- Money will be awarded from the Police Prize Fund in the form of travel allowances for duty, hardship allowances and gifts for excellent duty.
04. Basic qualifications required:
4:1 Age limit:
As per the gazette notification, the age should be between 18-25 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
4.2 Educational qualifications:
A candidate should have passed the A. C. S. (O/L) examination with a credit pass in Medium Language in 06 sittings at once, and should have 04 credit passes; and Mathematics should be passed in not more than two sittings.
