Recruitment for the Primary – Craft Service Category (PL3) of the National Archives Department – 2026
Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for the recruitment to the post of Plumber in the Primary – Craft Service Category (PL3) of the National Archives Department.
01. This recruitment is for the post of Plumber in the Primary – Craft Service Category of the National Archives Department. The last date for calling applications is 27th February 2026.
02. Conditions of Service
- A candidate selected for the post of Plumber shall be appointed subject to the general conditions governing appointments in the Public Service, the terms and conditions laid down in the procedure approved by the Public Service Commission on 12.07.2018, the amendments made or made hereafter to the said procedure, the provisions of the Establishments Code and the Financial Regulations.
- This post is permanent. Pensionable. Although this post is stated to be pensionable, officers recruited in the future shall be subject to the policy decisions taken by the Government regarding the pension scheme. Furthermore, you shall contribute to the Widows and Orphans Pension Scheme. You shall pay contributions therefor as may be prescribed by the Government from time to time.
- This appointment is subject to a probationary period of three years. The Plumber Grade III in the Primary – Technical Service Category (PL 3) shall pass the first Efficiency Bar Test as prescribed in the Recruitment Procedure within 03 years of his/her recruitment.
- The Director General of the National Archives shall have the power to cancel the appointments of candidates who fail to take up the duties of the post offered to him/her on the appointed date.
