Applications are invited for the Facilities Technical Officer (Carpentry) job vacancy at the Sri Lankan Airlines.
Job Description
To assist Facilities Foreman by carrying out spray painting and hand painting of furniture, steel works and buildings to maintain a pleasant working environment for staff and our customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carry out brush/roller emulsion/ enamel / weather shield coatings and other paint applications on walls, partitions, roofs, ceilings, floor etc. to keep those in attractive well-preserved condition.
- Perform polishing and varnishing on timber furniture, doors and windows etc. to maintain their attractive and well -preserved finished condition.
- Conduct spray painting tasks on steel and timber furniture, equipment, and fittings to uphold an attractive and well-preserved finished appearance.
- Report any defects identified in previously completed painting-related finishes.
- Apply putty to walls and perform sanding to achieve a smooth surface.
- Ensure personal safety when working at elevated heights.
Requirements
Sat for O/L and relevant course equivalent to NVQ level 3 for which the duration of course to be 6 months in the relevant field with 2 years relevant working experience
Age to be not more than 35 years as at 04th May 2024 which is the closing date.
Be a Sri Lankan Citizen.
Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
Influencing will be a reflection of unsuitability.
