Vacancies

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens who meet the prescribed qualifications for the following vacant posts in this University.

01. Management Assistant (Grade II)

Eligibility

1. Must have passed Sinhala Language/Tamil Language, English Language/English Literature and Mathematics in the G.C.E. (O.L.) Examination with credit passes in six subjects at one sitting. and
2. Must have passed all the subjects at one sitting of the G.C.E. (A.L.) Examination (excluding the General Common Examination Paper) (Three subjects passed at one sitting under the old syllabus will be sufficient.)
3. Preference will be given to the qualified candidates as given below.

• Must have completed an acceptable computer application course of not less than six months duration from a recognized institution

and

• Two years experience in the use of computer application packages

Note

Age – Should not exceed 30 years.

Recruitment – Through written test and interview

Salary scale: Rs. 49,475 17 X 540 58,655 (monthly) [U-MN 1(III)]

02) Driver (Grade III)

Qualifications

• Must have passed the G.C.E. (O.L.) Examination with at least two credit passes in six subjects in not more than two sittings.

and

• Must have a driving license issued by the Commissioner of Motor Transport for driving heavy vehicles and must have gained three years experience in the subordinate ranks after obtaining the driving license.

Note

Salary Scale : Rs. 48,005 16 X 490 55,845 (Monthly) [U-PL 3(III)]

Age –

• Must have passed the G.C.E. (O.L.) Examination with at least two credit passes in six subjects in not more than two sittings.

Recruitment – Through Vocational Test and Interview

03) Housekeeper and Cook (Grade III)

Qualifications

• G.C.E. (O.L.) Examination with at least two credit passes in six subjects in not more than two sittings and a Certificate of Proficiency in the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q.) Level 2 or 3 issued by a Technical/ Vocational Training Institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission in relation to the post. [A Certificate of Equivalence issued by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission to confirm the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q) Level relevant to the course must be submitted.] OR
• G.C.E. (O.L) Examination with at least two credit passes in six subjects at not more than two sittings and one year of experience in the relevant field with technical skills.

Salary scale: Rs. 44,575 16 X 490 – 52,415 (Monthly) [U-PL 2(III)]

04) Work Assistant (Grade II)

05) Security Guard (Grade III)

06) Gardener (Grade III)

For the posts Nos. 04, 05 and 06 above

Eligibility

• G.C.E. (O.L.) Examination with at least two credit passes in six subjects in not more than two sittings.

Note

Age – Should not exceed 45 years.

Recruitment – Through a vocational test and/or interview

Salary scale: Rs. 42,775 16 X 450 – 49,975 (Monthly) [U- PL 1(III)]

In addition to the basic salary, government-approved allowances will be paid for these posts.
