Vacancies

The Ocean University of Sri Lanka is entrusted with the responsibility of catering to the manpower needs in the Fisheries, Marine, and Maritime sectors of Sri Lanka. The Ocean University of Sri Lanka will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the following posts

Lecturer (Probationary)/Lecturer (Unconfirmed)/Senior Lecturer Grade II/I

Salary Scales:

(a) Senior Lecturer Grade I

Rs. 160,520 -3900×07-187820 pm [U-AC 3 (I)] Academic Allowance of 116% of the salary will be paid

(b) Senior Lecturer Grade II

Rs. 138,980 – 2,940 x 06- 156,620 pm [U-AC 3 (II)] Academic Allowance of 116% of the salary will be paid

(c) Lecturer (Unconfirmed)

Rs. 121,340 – 2,940 x 05 – 136,040 pm [U-AC 3 (III) Academic Allowance of 102% of the salary will be paid

(d) Lecturer (Probationary)

Rs. 94,400 – 2400×10 – 118,400 p.m. [U-AC 3 (IV)] Academic Allowance of 91% of the salary will be paid

In addition to the above salary, cost of living allowance, and other government-approved allowances will be paid
to the selected candidate/s.

Only the Applications sent on the specified form will be accepted. (Annex the copies of relevant documents). The envelope containing the duly filled application form must bear the name of the post applied for on its top left-hand corner, and it can be either hand-delivered or sent under registered post to reach the Assistant Registrar, Human Resource Development, Ocean University of Sri Lanka, No. 51. Pannananda Mawatha, Mattakkuliya, Colombo 15, on or before 27th June 2025.

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations, and Statutory Boards should
channel their applications with the recommendation of the Heads of the respective Institutions.

Applications received after the closing date and incomplete applications, and applications not submitted in the prescribed format of the Ocean University of Sri Lanka will be rejected without intimation. The University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates.
