Nurse (Home Care) – Based in National Headquarters in Colombo

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
with
Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a recognized healthcare institute.
Prior experience in home care settings is considered as an added advantage.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Proficiency in administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
Ability to assess situations and make informed decisions independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families and staff.
Willingness to travel to patients’ homes and manage care plans according to physician instructions.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Well-developed oral and written language skills in Sinhala, English and/ or Tamil.

Project Coordinator (Home Care) – Based in National Headquarters in Colombo

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Degree in Bachelor of Science, Public Health or related discipline from a recognized institution.
with
Three years’ experience in a similar managerial capacity with hands-on experience in implementing health related project is considered as an added advantage.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Proven experience in project coordination, Managerial and Monitoring effectively.
Strong leadership and decision- making skills to manage day-to-day tasks and guide the project team.
Demonstrated ability in internal and external coordination, working with professionals and, service providers.
Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with beneficiaries, caregivers, and staff.
Well-developed oral and written language skills in Sinhala and English/or Tamil.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for reporting. documentation.

General Requirements

Sound understanding of humanitarian, community, and volunteer-based service interventions.
Should be a quick learner with the ability of adhering to SLRCS management guidelines and procedures.
Should be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability of working in challenging circumstances.
Abide by and work according to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Fundamental Principles.

The SLRCS conducts its general administrative and operational affairs in English Language and the appointment will be on fixed term contract basis. Only short-listed applicants will be called for interviews.
