National Youth Corps Job Vacancies 2025

Applications are invited for recruitment to the following posts that are vacant at the National Youth Corps.

1. Assistant Director (Training) (MM 1-1) (01 Vacancy)
2. Instructor (Information Technology) (MA 1-1) (17 Vacancies)
3. Instructor (English Language) (MA 1-1) (15 Vacancies)

These posts are permanent and entitled to Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees Trust Fund (ETF).

04. Assistant Director (Provincial) (MM 1-1 Fixed) – (05 Vacancies)
05. Officer In Charge (JM 1-1 Fixed) – (17 Vacancies)

• Adventure based Training Centre
• Aesthetic Training School
• Sports Training School
• National Youth Corps Training Centers

Will be recruited to the posts (04) and (05) above on contract basis.

All applicants applying for these posts should be;

1. A Citizen of Sri Lanka
2. Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties entrusted to the post and to serve in any part of the island
3. Should have an excellent moral character

01. Assistant Director (Training) (MM 1-1) – For Headquarters

Educational Qualifications: External Applicants

1. Should have obtained a degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in Business Administration
   (Special), Business Administration Human Resources Management, B Sc. Management (Public) Special. B Com. (Special), B Sc. Human Resources Management (Special), Business Management (Human Resources) Special, Business Administration (Human Resources Management) Special, B Sc. (Business Management) Special, L.L.B,. Labour Educationist, B Sc. Management (Public), B. Com. (General), BА (Hons)
   And
2. Should have obtained at least two (02) years experience in the training subject field after obtaining the degree.

Internal Applicants (1 or 2 qualifications below)

1. Fulfilling the qualifications for the external applicants as mentioned above.
2. Should have completed at least five (05) years satisfactory service in a post relevant to the subject field in Junior Management Service Category.

Age

• Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. Maximum age limit is not applicable to internal applicants.

Salary Scale:

• MM 1-1-01/2025:- Rs. (91,690 -10 x 2,480 – 15 x 3,450 – Rs. 168,240) Government approved allowances will be paid in addition to the above.

02. Instructor (Information Technology) (MA 1-1)

Educational Qualifications – External Applicants

1. Should have passed in six (06) subjects in one sitting with four (04) credit passes including
   i. Sinhala/Tamil
   ii. Mathematics
   At the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination
   And
2. Should have passed in at least three (03) subjects (except in General Common Test) at the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination
   And
3. Should have passed an Information Technology Diploma Course of not less than one year from a recognized university or a reputed educational institute
   And
4. Should have obtained experience of not less than six (06) months in teaching Information Technology in a government or reputed private sector institute

Note :- Qualifications mentioned in (a), (b), (c) and (d) above are not required for individuals who have obtained
a degree with Information Technology as a subject.

Internal Applicants

1. Primary Grade – Employees in Unskilled, Semiskilled and Skilled Service Categories with qualifications mentioned in (b), (c), (d) and (e) are eligible to apply.
2. Should have passed in six (06) subjects in one sitting with four (04) credit passes including

1. Sinhala / Tamil
2. Mathematics

At the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination

1. Should have passed an Information Technology Diploma Course of not less than one year from a recognized university or an educational institute
2. Should hold a permanent appointment in service and should have been confirmed in the appointment
3. Should have completed at least five (05) years of continuous satisfactory service in permanent appointment immediately prior to the specific date.

Age

• Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years as at the closing date of applications. Maximum age limit will not be applicable to internal applicants.

Salary Scale:

• MA 1-1 – 01/2025 – Rs. 46,220 – 10×540 – 7×630 -4×890- 20×1,190 = Rs. 83,390 Government approved other allowances will also be paid in addition to the above.
