Vacancy Description

Assist in welding, machining, and hand making new metal parts, as well as repairing damaged or faulty components of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE), vehicles, and other equipment. Ensure tasks are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner, either independently or as directed by the Supervisor/Engineer.

Key responsibilities will include:

Assist in replacing or repairing faulty parts using OXY/ARC/TIG/MIG wielding, hand-fitting, machining, straitening or making new metal parts to meet the factory condition of equipment/vehicles.
Assist to carryout maintenance work on existing units, including testing, fault-finding, dismantling, repair or replace of faulty parts, re-assembly and final testing to ensure serviceability levels of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Assist in the disassembly/ repair/ assembly/ testing inspections of components in compliance with regularity standards and escalating issues to the superiors where necessary.
Maintain good housekeeping standards & adhere to safety protocols to prevent damage to equipment, tools, components, engines, and accessories etc.

Requirements

6 passes at G.C.E Ordinary Level (O/L) with 4 Credits including a Pass for English and Full Trade qualification which the duration should be more than 02 years
OR
6 passes at G.C.E Ordinary Level (O/L) with 4 Credits including a Pass for English and NVQ Level 4 certificate (Welder) which the duration should be more than 02 years
And
Should possess a valid light/Heavy vehicle driving license.

The upper age limit should be 30 years at the closing date 03rd April 2025.

Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
