Applications are invited for the Lecturer (Tamil & Sinhala  / English) job vacancy at the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Applications will be entertained from suitably qualified persons for the above post.

Qualifications:

• Should have a Bachelor of Education degree awarded with 1 class or 2nd class upper division from a recognized University.
  or
• Should have a Bachelor of Education degree awarded with 2nd lower division from a recognized University and at least one year experience in teaching/research/professional work/postgraduate studies.
  AND
  or
• A degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours or any other degree with at least 2nd Class Honours and a Postgraduate degree of at least 2 academic years duration in the relevant subject with a research component by way of thesis/dissertation.
• Excellent communication skills in English/Tamil/Sinhala languages
• Familiarity with digital platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and technology used in teaching

Duration of the appointment

• Appointments will be made initially for six months and extendable up to four years based on performance.

Remuneration:

A fixed monthly allowance of LKR 62000/= (inclusive of COL allowance) EPF + ETF.
