Salary Code: U-AC 3 (for Lecturer (Probationary)/Lecturer (Unconfirmed)/Senior Lecturer Gr. II/I)
(a) Senior Lecturer Grade I –
- Rs. 160,520 – 7 X 3,900 – 187,820 p.m. [U-AC 3(I)[will be placed on the initial salary step of Rs.160,520/-p.m.
*Academic Allowance of 116% + Rs. 2,200/- of salary will be paid.
(b) Senior Lecturer Grade II
- Rs. 138,980 – 11 X 2,940 – 171,320 p.m. [U-AC 3(II)] will be placed on the initial salary step of Rs. 138,980/- p.m. * Academic Allowance of 116% + Rs. 2,100/- of salary will be paid.
(c) Lecturer (Unconfirmed)
- Rs. 121,340 – 5 X 2,940 – 136,040 p.m. [U-AC 3 (III)] will be placed on the initial salary step of Rs. 121,340/- p.m. *Academic Allowance of 102% + Rs. 1,800/- of salary will be paid.
(d) Lecturer (Probationary)
- Rs. 94,400 – 10 X 2,400 – 118,400 p.m. [U-AC 3(IV)] will be placed on the initial salary step of Rs. 94,400/- p.m. * Academic Allowance of 91% + Rs. 1,200/- of salary will be paid.

Prescribed application forms and details regarding the above posts could be obtained from the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments Division during office hours or could be downloaded from the University Website: https://www.ou.ac.lk/vacancies. Requests for application forms by post should be accompanied with a self-addressed stamped envelope of 23 x 10 cm in size. All applications together with copies of relevant certificates should be forwarded to the Deputy Registrar/Academic Establishments, The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala, Nugegoda, under registered cover or by courier on or before 11th September 2025. Candidates should submit separate applications for each post applied for. Incomplete, illegible, or applications received after the closing date will be rejected. The post should be indicated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
