VACANCIES

The University of Colombo Institute for Agro-Technology and Rural Sciences will entertain applications for the under mentioned posts from suitably qualified persons up to 11.08.2025.

01. Management Assistant Grade III

Qualifications:

(1) Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects at one sitting with credit
passes in :-

1. Sinhala Language/Tamil Language
2. English Language/ English Literature
3. Mathematics
   AND

(2) Should have passed in all subjects at G.C.E (A/L) Examination (except the Common General papers) at one sitting.

(3) Preference will be given to those who possess the following:

(a) An acceptable qualification in computer applications of not less than six (06) months duration obtained from a recognized institute.
AND
(b) Two years of experience in the use of computer application packages.

Note :-

• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age on the closing date of applications.
• Should be of good character

Salary Scale : U MN 1 (III) – Rs. 49,475-17×540-58,655 p.m. (as at 01.01.2025)
Selection : By written examination and interview.

02. Works Aide (Contract Basis)

Qualifications:

Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two credit passes in not more than two sittings.

NOTE:-

• Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Should be physically and mentally fit to the discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.
• Should be of excellent moral character.

Age : Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of applications.

Salary Code : U-PL 1 (III)
Salary : U-PL 1 (III) –Rs. 55,567.00 (paid Amount as at 01.01.2025) + 17,800 (COLA)
Selection : By a Trade test and/or a Structured Interview
