Applications are invited from Sri Lankan Citizens permanently residing in Southern Province who possess following
qualifications mentioned here for the recruitment to the following vacant post in Hakmana Pradeshiya Sabha.
Post Name : Driver (Daily Basis)
Number of Post : 01
Nature of the job : The service will be registered and provided on daily wage basis only until 31.12.2025.
The service will not be extended beyond that date.
Salary Code : PL 3 – 2025
Salary Scale : Rs. 42,780.00 – 10 x 490 – 10×540 – 10×590 – 12×630 – 66,540.00
01. Minimum educational qualification of recruitment and other qualifications :-
- Should have passed G. C. E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in no more than two sittings with any 06 subjects.
- Must possess a Driving License issued by the Commissioner General of Department of Motor Traffic and the
Competency Certificate.
02. Age Limit – Applicants must be not less than 18 year and more than 45 years of age by the closing date for application.
03. General Conditions of recruitment :-
- Applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Applicant must prove permanent residence in the Southern Province for a period of 05 years (03 consecutive
years) prior to the closing date for applications. - Should be of an excellent character and good physical condition.
- Must not have been convicted and sentenced by a Court of Law under the Penal Code or dismissed from State
or Provincial Government Service. - Applicants who meet the qualifications will be recruited based on the results foa structured interview and a
professional proficiency test.
04. Conditions of Employment :-
According to the service requirements, might to be conduct duties in vehicles such as cabs, tractors, land masters, water bowsers, gully bowsers, tippers, compactors etc.
05. Method of Application :-
- Application should be prepared in compliance with the specimen attached to this notification in A4 sized paper and shall be sent under the registered post before 22.08.2025 to reach to Chairperson, Hakmana Pradeshiya Sabha, Hakmana.
- Should mention “For the Post of Driver” on the top left corner of the envelope in which the application is enclosed in.
- Incomplete, unclear applications and applications received after the due date will be rejected without any notice.
- The certified copies of the following documents should be attached with the application.
- Birth certificate ;
- Education certificates and competency certificates ;
- Grama Niladhari Certificate for confirm the residence ;
- Photocopy of the National Identity Card ;
- Character Certificates that recently obtained.
