Key responsibilities will include:

• Detecting and rectifying faults (component/spares replacement) in the electrical distribution network downstream of the CEB metering point, including HT transformers, ATS, Standby Generators, Master switchboards, and other distribution boards, to ensure the proper functionality of the electrical system.
• Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS units installed at UL premises to ensure 100% availability of critical power supply. Maintaining service reports for UPS systems and updating foreman and engineer about any additional maintenance requirements.
• Wiring, installing, and connecting power systems and electrical control systems, including components such as MCCBs, MCBs, RCDs, magnetic contractors, timers, relays, changeover switches, etc., to contribute to the development/extensions of the electrical system.
• Repair and replacement of consumables (all types of lamp fittings, motors and pumps including their control systems, lounge equipment, office electrical equipment, sensor switches, etc.) to maintain an acceptable working environment.
• Assisting the foreman in completing scheduled and ad-hoc electrical maintenance jobs to ensure the timely execution of electrical maintenance work.
• Entering and addressing general log reports to rectify defects promptly.
• To act on behalf of the Foreman in his absence, providing necessary job-related technical information to subordinates, managing and utilizing components in stock to accomplish the daily routine work schedule, and maintaining a satisfactory service level to the user departments.

Requirements

• 6 passes at G.C.E Ordinary Level (O/L) including a pass for Mathematics & English with successful completion of one year full time technical course (NVQ level 4) in relevant field with 4 years relevant working experience.
