The Local Loans and Development Fund is a Statutory Institution established under the Ordinance No. 22 of 1916 and functioning under the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government which is entrusted to carry out the task to provide loans required for enhancing capital investments and improvement of infrastructure facilities in the Local Government Institutions island wide as well as recovery of such loans provided.
Applications will be received from Sri Lankan citizens to fill the vacancy stated below.

01) Service Category:
“Primary – Skilled”
02) General Definition relevant to the nature of the duties entrusted to the service category:
This service category consists of persons who are entrusted with work requiring technical skills/vocational abilities confirming by Technical Training Certificate/ Competency Certificate not below the NVQ (National Vocational Qualifications) Level Four (04) as determined by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission relevant to constructions, maintenance, repairs and lighting which are the basic requirements in attending to and maintaining of the duties entrusted to an institution and persons carrying a Drivers license issued by the Commissioner General of
Motor Traffic.

Educational Qualifications:
Passed G.C.E. (O/Level) Examination in six (06) subjects in not more than two sittings with at least two (02) credit passes.
and
Possessing a Driver’s License for heavy vehicles issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic and a minimum three (03) years experience in driving such vehicles.
For Internal Applicants:
Possessing a Driving License for heavy vehicles issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic and a minimum of three (03) years experience in driving such vehicles,
and
Completed a satisfactory service period of five (05) years in a primary non-skilled (PL 1) service category.
04. Age Limit
Should be not below 18 years and not above 45 years. Internal Applicants are not affected by the upper age limit.
This post is a one approved as per the recruitments and promotions procedure by the Director General of Management Services.
The Code Number and the monthly salary scale relevant to this service category:
Effective from 01.01.2025
PL 3 Rs. (43,280 – 10×490 – 10×540 – 10×590-12×630 – 67,040)
(Government approved allowances will be added)
As the service Station will be the Head Office, preference could be given to applicants residing close-by.
Recruitment will be done by an interview.
Service Conditions:
- This post is permanent and will be subject to a 03 year probation period.
- The employee will contribute 8% of his salary to the Employees’ Provident Fund while the employer will provide 12% to the Fund. In addition, the Employer will provide 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
