Applications are invited from qualified citizens of the Southern Province for the following vacant posts in the Southern Provincial Industrial Development Authority.

01. Development Officer – (01)

1. Educational Qualifications

External Applicants

A degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission. (A degree in the field of Accounting is a special qualification.)

Salary Code and Scale – (MA 3) 53,940-800×10-1,190×11-1,320×10-1,350×5-94,980 In addition, government approved allowances will be available.
Age: Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

02. Research Assistant – (01)

2. Educational Qualifications

External Applicants

Must have obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in Agriculture, Aquaculture, Livestock, Food Technology, Marketing Management at a level not less than NVQ Level 5 issued by a Technical / Vocational Training Institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

Internal Applicants

Must have fulfilled the relevant qualifications for external applicants mentioned above.

Salary Code and Scale – (MA 2-1) 50,540-540×10-630×7-890×4-1,190×20-87,710 In addition, government approved allowances will be available.
Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

General Conditions

Other: Every applicant must be a citizen of Sri Lanka., Must be a permanent resident of the Southern Province for not less than 03 years immediately preceding the closing date for applications. Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties assigned to the post and to serve in any part of the Southern Province., Must be of excellent character.
Nature of Appointment – Permanent, entitled to Employees’ Provident Fund and Employees’ Trust Fund. Salaries will be paid as per Schedules I and II of the Management Service Circular 01/2025.
Selection Process – Recruitment will be through an open competitive examination and/or a structured interview conducted by a panel appointed by the Appointing Authority.
