Management Trainee

Organization: Ceylon Petroleum Corporation

We are a common user facility with two main installations and an island-wide network of bulk storage locations, providing services to Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Lanka Indian Oil Company, Sinopec Sri Lanka, RM Parks & other business partners in the downstream petroleum.

Applications are invited from the suitably qualified individuals for vacancies exist for the following post.

POST OF MANAGEMENT TRAINEE, GRADE A-7 (On Permanent Basis)

Minimum Academic Qualification of either,

A three (3) year Bachelor’s General Degree with Second Class Upper Division obtained from a University / Institution recognized by UGC in any stream.
OR
A four (4) year Bachelor’s Special degree with Second Class Lower Division obtained from a University / Institution recognized by UGC in any stream.
AND
Fluency in English would be an added advantage.

Age Limit: Should be less than 30 years of age.

Salary Scale : Rs. 164,295 – 5 x 2,125 : 10 x 2,650 – 201,420

Note:

Selected applicants will initially be placed at Grade A-7 as Management Trainee and on successful completion of the two years of training period they will be considered to be absorbed to the available vacant positions in Grade A-6 on permanent basis on the recommendation of the Head of Function and thereafter he/she should serve the Company for five years of compulsory period and an agreement and a Surety Bond be signed to that effect at the time of the appointment.

The Company will contribute 15% of the salary towards the EPF whilst the employee will have to contribute 10% for the same. The Company will also contribute 3% of the salary towards the ETF.

Candidates should pass a competitive examination conducted by outside recognized body/institution. Selection will be based on the exam marks and the performance at the interview.

After two (2) years of successful training period, candidates will be considered to be absorbed in to Grade A-6 in a relevant vacant post.
