Applications are invited for the following job vacancies at the Central Environmental Authority.

• Procurement Officer
• Planning Officer
• Assistant Legal Officer

Organization: 

We are looking for qualified, dynamic, self-motivated, career-oriented, team players to fill the following vacancies. Writing and presentation skills, proficiency in English, familiarity with government regulations and computer literacy will be considered additional qualifications.

Applicants must be at least 22 years old and not older than 45 years. The age limit does not apply to those already in state service. Applicants from government or semi-government sector should forward their applications through Heads of their Departments or Institutes.

1. Post of Procurement Officer (JM 1-2, Grade ll) – (01 Post)

Qualifications & Experience

External

1. A degree in the field of Management/ Accountancy / Commerce / Economics which is recognized by the UGC. AND
2. One (01) year experience in Procurement works / Supply Management in a recognized institution at Executive Level.

Internal

1. Having obtained the qualifications required by external candidate above.
   OR
2. Completion of minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in the Management Assistant – Non Technological (MA 1-2) category Grade II in the relevant field.

Salary Scale : Rs. 74,010 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 – 124,330/-

You will be placed at the salary step of Rs. 59,552/= in terms of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 of 25.03.2025 and its Schedule ll.

The vacancy exists in the Head Office at Battaramulla.

2. Post of Planning Officer (JM 1-2, Grade ll) – (01 Post)

Qualifications & Experience

External

1. A degree in the field of Mathematics/Physical Science/ Management/ Environment/ Project Management which is recognized by the UGC.
   AND
2. One (01) year experience in the field of project Management / Planning in a recognized Institutions.

Internal

1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidate above.
   OR
2. Three (03) year experience as Environmental Officer / Statistical Officer in CEA.

Salary Scale : Rs. 74,010 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 – 124,330/-

You will be placed at the salary step of Rs. 59,552/= in terms of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 of 25.03.2025 and its Schedule ll.

The vacancy exists in the Head Office at Battaramulla.

3. Post of Assistant Legal Officer (MA 5-1, Grade lll) – (05 Posts)

Qualifications & Experience

External

1. LLB Degree which is recognized by the UGC and enrolled as Attorney-at-Law.

Salary Scale : Rs. 58,740 -10×1,190 – 15×1,360 – 11×1,670 -109, 410/-

You will be placed at the salary step of Rs. 49,031/= in terms of Management Services Circular No. 01/2025 of 25.03.2025 and its Schedule ll.

The vacancies exist in the Head Office at Battaramulla and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Office at Rathnapura. (Indicate the preferred place of work in addition to the post applied for on the top left – hand corner of the envelope.)
