Agro Enterprise Promoter – Ministry of Agriculture Job Vacancies 2024

Applications are invited for the Agro Enterprise Promoter job vacancy at the Ministry of Agriculture.

She/He should have Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Agriculture Technology and Management preferably specialized in Agricultural Economics, Business Management, and/ or marketing or a field related to rural enterprise development. Postgraduate degree or relevant professional qualification on business management/ business administration or relevant field will be an added advantage
At least 3 years’ relevant experience value chain development in particular agriculture markets, preferably working experience with private sector.
He/she should have sound experience in private sector led business development, service provision and supply chain development.
He/she must be have knowledge and experience in building capacity of stakeholders and facilitation of multi- stakeholder consultation workshops and training.
She/He needs to have provable experience in demonstrate creativeness, entrepreneurial skills.
Experience in agro-enterprise development, agricultural value chains and market development.
He/ She should possess a valid motorcycle license and also a motorcycle is preferrable.
Computer literate
Sound Computer literacy
Good inter-personal skills
Strong analytical skills
Fluency in English and Sinhala and preferably Tamil
