VACANCIES
POST OF ACCOUNTANT CLASS II GRADE II
Applications are invited from Citizens of Sri Lanka for the Post of Accountant Class II Grade II in Permanent Basis for Ceylon Electricity Board.
1. Qualification and Experience
- Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)/Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK
OR - B.Sc. (Accountancy) Degree awarded by a recognized University in Sri Lanka AND Three (03) years post qualifying experience in Accounting/Auditing field at Executive level in an institution with more than 100 employees. OR
- a. Intermediate Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)/Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK /Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK or b. Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) of the Sri Lanka Technical College, or c. B. Com Degree awarded by a recognized University
AND
Five (05) years post qualifying experience in Accounting/Auditing field at Executive level in an institution with more than 100 employees. (together with a or b or c above)
2. Age
- Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age as at the closing date. This age limit will not be applicable to those who are in State service/Statutory Boards including CEB Corporations, and they are required to forward their applications through the respective Heads of Institutions.
3. Salary Scale
- For those who have Associate Membership of the ICA or CIMA or ACCA Rs. 183,600-5x 3,295 +10 x 3,415-234,225/- pm (S3)
For others
Rs. 157,375-5x 2,810+10 x 2,845-199,875/- pm (S4)

5. Place of Work
- Ceylon Electricity Board reserves the right to post the Accountants recruited to any location’s in the country decided by the CEB. Selected applicants will only be recruited if they in writing agree to accept the post at the location decided by the CEB.
6. Other Benefits
- Those who are selected will be entitled to Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) with Employees’ Contribution of 10% and CEB Contribution of 15%.
- Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) Contribution of 3% by the CEB.

Candidates in State Service/Statutory Boards or Corporations and CEB internal candidates should upload a letter by Heads of relevant institutions/ Head of the relevant branch stating whether the applicant could be released or not, if selected.

Depending on the number of applications received, they will be shortlisted and the applicants who were short-listed will only be called for the final interview.
