Grama Niladhari Exam Results 2023 – results.exams.gov.lk

The list of 4,232 candidates, who qualified to face the interview for the vacant Grama Niladhari positions based on the written examination, has been released, State Minister of Home Affairs Ashoka Priyantha said.

The relevant list has been published on the official website of the State Ministry of Home Affairs which is accessible through the link – www.moha.gov.lk.

Accordingly, a total of 2,002 individuals will be recruited to the Grade III of Grama Niladhari Service based on the results of the interviews.

Meanwhile, the State Minister also expressed that acting on the gazette notification, interviews are expected to be held without delay to recruit them to the public service at the earliest possible.

The Grama Niladhari examination was conducted by the Department of Examinations on December 02, 2023.

Which division is Grama Niladhari?

Grama Niladhari is a Sri Lankan public official appointed by the central government to carry out administrative duties in a grama niladhari division, which is a sub-unit of a divisional secretariat. They come under the Grama Niladhari Division under the Home Affairs Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs. There are 14,022 grama niladhari divisions under 331 divisional secretary’s division in the island.

What are the Duties’ to do Grama Niladari ?

The duties of a grama niladari include the reporting of issuing of permits, gathering statistics, maintaining the voter registry and keeping the peace by settlement of personal disputes. They are responsible for keeping track of criminal activity in their area and issuing a certificate of residence and character on behalf of residents when requested by them. They may arrest individuals if sworn in as a Peace Officer. Establish and co-ordinate administrative policies and procedures for required community members and officials of the divisional secretariats.

What are the working days for Grama Niladhari?

You can meet your division’s Grama Niladhari at Grama Niladhari Office on these three days in the week. Monday – 8.30 a.m to 4.15 p.m. Thursday – 8.30 a.m to 4.15 p.m. Saturday – 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
