Application for Law College Entrance Exam 2025
Applications are called for the admission of students to the Sri Lanka Law College for the Academic Year 2026 from 9.00 am on 17th March, 2025 up to 9.00 pm on the 16th April, 2025 online on the Online System of the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka
All the applicants should appear for the entrance exam scheduled to be held in the month of July, 2025. The Question Papers that would be included in the Law College Entrance Examination are,
- General Knowledge – 01 Hour
- General Intelligence – 01 Hour
- Proficiency in English Language – 01 1/2 Hours
- Proficiency in Sinhala or Tamil Language – 01 1/2 Hours
The Application Form has been published on “Online Applications Recruitment Exams” under “Our Services” in the www.doenets.lk website of the Sri Lanka Examinations Department and applications shall be submitted online.

ADMISSION OF STUDENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2026
Applications are called for the admission of students to the Sri Lanka Law College for the Academic Year 2026 from 9.00 a.m. on 17th March, 2025 up to 9.00 p.m. on 16th April, 2025 online on the Online System of the Sri Lanka Examinations Department.
Qualifications for Entrance:
The minimum qualifications for appearing for the Sri Lanka Law College Entrance Examination are:
- Passed the Sri Lanka General Certificate of (Advanced Level) Examination /the General Certificate of (Advanced Level) Examination of the United Kingdom with Two Credit Passes and an Ordinary Pass at once;
And- Obtained Credit Passes in English Language and Sinhala or Tamil Language in the Sri Lanka General Certificate of (Ordinary Level) Examination/the National General Certificate of Examination or the General Certificate of (Ordinary Level) Examination of the United Kingdom;
- The Applicants should have completed 17 Years of age on the last date of accepting the applications. For further information, please access the website of the Sri Lanka Law College (www.sllc.ac.lk)
Entrance Examination:
All the applicants should appear for the Entrance Examination scheduled to be held in the month of July, 2025. The Question Papers that would be included in the Law College Entrance Examination are;
- General Knowledge – Duration 01 Hour
- General Intelligence – Duration 01 Hour
- Proficiency in English Language – Duration 1 1/2 Hours
- Proficiency in Sinhala or Tamil Language – Duration 1 1/2 Hours
Examination Fee and Law College Fee:
Examination Fee is Rs. 1,200/=. Instructions of the Method of Payment of Examination Fee have been published under the Technological Instructions relevant to the examination in the Sri Lanka Examination Department’s website.
Law College fee is Rs. 12,000/=. This amount shall be paid in the name of the applicant to 063020073300 (Hulftsdorp Branch) of the Hatton National Bank in the name of Incorporated Council of Legal Education and only after forwarding the relevant receipt to the email address at entrance@sllc.ac.lk, should forward the application online to the Examinations Department.
(In the receipt being emailed to the Law College, applicant’s Name with initials, National Identity Card Number and the Telephone Number shall be indicated clearly.)
Method of Application:
The Application Form has been published on “Online Applications – Recruitment Exams” under “Our Services” in the www.doenets.lk website of the Sri Lanka Examinations Department and applications shall be submitted online.
If it appears that there exists any discrepancy or inconsistence between the language phrases of this notice published in Sinhala, Tamil and English media, at that instance it would be acted upon the Sinhala Medium Notice.
