The Department of English Language Teaching, Faculty of Arts & Culture, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka invites applications for the Diploma in English course.
- Duration: 01 Year
- Course Fee: Rs.60,000/=
Class Mode – Classes will be conducted during weekends (face-to-face classes and online classes)
Completing a Diploma in English is an excellent way to build a solid foundation for pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (External) degree with English as a subject (TESL) at SEUSL.
MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE COURSE:
Advanced Reading, Advanced Writing, Speaking & Listening, Advanced Grammar, Introduction to Language and Linguistics, Introduction to Literature and Business Communication (including Presentation Skills)
FOR WHOM:
Students awaiting university entrance, employees in government or private sectors, school leavers or anyone interested in improving their English language proficiency.
ADMISSION CRITERIA:
At least a simple (S) pass in General English at the G.C.E. (A/L) or A credit (C) pass in English at the G.C.E. (O/L) or Completion of a certificate in English programme from a recognized university or any other recognized institutions or Any other academic or professional qualifications acceptable to the university
Note: Passing the selection test is compulsory to register for the course.
