The company specializes in milk processing, animal feed, and dairy products, and is committed to becoming self-sufficient in raw milk materials supply. Pelwatte Dairy Industries Ltd operates a modern factory complex located in Buttala, Monaragala District, which produces high-quality dairy products of international standards.
Pelwatte Group in its rapid growth trajectory is looking for Strategic Planning specialist to support the Strategic Planning Division to value add in improving overall business planning and making all business units future ready.
Role brief
We are seeking a S P Specialist to shape our groups direction and create plans to achieve our business objectives. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our competitive edge and effectively allocating resources. Strategic thinking is a vital skill required for this position, along with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Your contributions will be instrumental in guiding our group through changes, fostering growth, and ensuring long-term success. As a Strategic Planner, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our groups strategic decisions and drive our business forward. Should be having keen interest in change management initiatives to support execution of Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities
- Understand and shape the company’s strategy and mission.
- Develop plans to materialize strategy and analyse business proposals.
- Research competition to identify threats and opportunities.
- Assess the company’s operational and strategic performance.
- Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy.
- Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions)
- Educate senior executives in making effective decisions.
- Construct forecasts and analytical models
- Monitor and analyse industry trends and market changes.
- Commitment for Frequent Travel to Manufacturing sites and agribusiness plantations across the country will be expected.
Qualifications
- Business Planning and Planning skills
- Analytical Skills
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience in Finance or a related field
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must posses a valid Driving License.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with data analysis software such as MS Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Minimum 3 Years working experience in related roles.
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include experience in the dairy or food and beverage industries, knowledge of supply chain management, and experience with project management methodologies.
