Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Must wear proper corporate uniform and corporate ID card and hair, beard, and grooming should be done in accordance with the rules and regulations of the organization.
• Responsible for cleaning the Checkouts area and inside at all times.
• Handling customer complaints according to organizational rules and providing satisfactory customer service.
• Checking whether out of stock, expired and soon-to-expiry items are available in the supermarket in the allocated categories. (Especially in the allocated category) and informing the manager.
• Participating in general activities related to the branch assigned by the manager.
• Proper cleaning and maintenance of the shelves of the branch should be done.
• Carrying out periodic stock taking (Perpetual) according to the schedule given by the manager.
• Preparing the cash summary and transferring the money without any shortage to the head cashier and settling it within 24 hours if there is a shortage.
• Carrying out the cleaning activities allocated in the branch according to the schedule.
• Informing and updating the manager about the expected tasks and the task performance.
• At the start of the shift, the head cashier should check whether the money, shopping bags, loyalty cards, etc. are correct.
• All customer billing should be done correctly and (Promotions) should be introduced.
• The Trolley and Basket in the branch should be cleaned.
• The shelves should be cleaned, stacked and filled (Forwarding and Filling) according to the organizational rules. The SEL, Price Board, Wobblers required for the given Category should be placed on time.
• The customer should be introduced to the Sampath Loyalty Card and informed about the benefits.
• Customer Returns should be handled correctly and the relevant authorities should be informed and appropriate action should be taken.
