EXECUTIVE – RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Location – Teejay Lanka PLC – Avissawella
We are looking for a dynamic and an energetic individual to join the Research & Development (Innovation) team to ensure product development, deliver customer satisfaction, drive profitable projects and ensure a smooth production floor.
The Job
Primary job role will be;
- Develop fabric concepts up to QA sample stage based on customer specifications, test reports, performance standards, and swatches.
- Manage and ensure adherence to the Time and Action Plan.
- Analyze variances between deliverables and actual output, coordinate internal improvements, communicate technical feedback to customers, and obtain approvals where required.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
- Develop product technical specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams to define performance standards through laboratory testing.
- Monitor yarn, knitted fabric, and textile application trends.
- Prepare trend collections and present them to brands in collaboration with the Marketing team.
The Person
- Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering or National Diploma in Technology (NDT).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role; experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and multitask, while working collaboratively as a team player.
