Assistant Accountant – Cinnamon Wild Yala

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join Cinnamon Wild Yala. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is Sri Lanka’s largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, the largest listed conglomerate in Sri Lanka.

Reporting to the Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounts department and assisting the accountant in preparing management reports. You will be responsible for monitoring and finalizing monthly Accounts, Expense Management, Inventory Management, monitoring and controlling cash flows within the resort, and monitoring bank reconciliation statements.

Furthermore, you will also prepare the best estimates, variance reports, and monitoring of all accounting functions within the resort operation. The assistant accountant will also carry out the responsibility of processing salaries, service charge payments, overlooking the income audit function, and internal controls of the resort.

Can you work independently with minimum supervision? Do you possess expertise in the preparation of annual plans and forecasting? Are you familiar with working on SAP and know your way around the system? Do you have a full or part professional qualification in ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA? Are you ready to be based at a Resort hotel?
