Technician (Masonry)

Organization: Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited

Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake/ Colombo International Airport, Ratmalana.

Technician (Mason) Grade II

The Job:

To perform all masonry work and repairs such as laying ropes to cut foundations, laying foundations, pouring concrete, building walls, laying curbs, laying kerbs, plastering, laying bricks, tiling, laying cement, etc. as assigned by the Superintending Officers.

Job Responsibilities

To use and maintain masonry machines and equipment safely and responsibly.
To maintain records of daily assigned work and materials used.
To wear official uniform during the duty period, to take care of its cleanliness, and to use personal protective equipment properly.
To perform all duties assigned to the masonry professionals by the supervisors.
To be able to perform any duty required by the institution in urgent cases as appropriate.
To perform relevant duties in Ratmalana, Piduruthalagala, Kataragama or Mattala or other remote locations outside the Katunayake Airport premises.

Qualifications

To have successfully completed a one (01) year full-time course in the field of masonry conducted by a Technical College or an institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (T.V.E.C.).
OR
A National Vocational Qualification Level 4 (NVQ Level 4) Certificate in Masonry. And
Four (04) years of experience in the relevant field, including apprenticeship/course/training period.

Age

Must not exceed 45 years as on the closing date for applications.

The candidates selected for the above positions will be required to work at any of the Company’s service locations in the island when required.
