ASSISTANT MANAGER Custody (Front Office)

The Custody Assistant Manager (Front Office) shall be responsible for ensuring seamless and timely execution of end to end custody operations across client onboarding, corporate actions. settlements, and fee administration. The role serves as a central coordination point between clients, fund managers, counterparties, and regulators, while maintaining high standards of control in the custody core system (client and security creations, price uploads. and EOD processing).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
FRONT OFFICE OPERATIONS

Initial Client onboarding process (Bank Account opening. CBSL CDS A/Cs)
Coordinating with regulators. Fund Managers and Counterparties
Monitoring Daily Trade Confirmations
Monitor CDS equity/Debt settlement
Coordinate and execute Mandatory offers. Right Issues documentation and settlements Facilitate CDS Security transfers
Collection of fees (CDS Fees, Custody Fees)
Approving System related activities (Custody core system work)
Client creation Securities creation (ISIN) Equity trade/Price upload – EOD process

OTHER COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Degree, Diploma or acceptable professional qualification in Banking, Finance. or related discipline.
Minimum of 02 years’ experience in Custody or Asset Management Operations preferred.
Knowledge of capital market operations. SWIFT and settlements.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and custody systems.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver assigned tasks within very tight timelines. whilst maintaining confidentiality of all transactions.
