QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor among others are as follows;
- Preparation of tender documents including BOQ, Specifications, Conditions of Contracts and Cost estimation for projects under taken by the Bank.
- Tender evaluation and recommendation.
- Taking measurements of completed work and recommend for payments.
- Attending to following tasks in major constructions and renovations projects undertaken by the bank.
- Checking tender documents /Engineer’s estimates prepared by project consultants
- Checking tender evaluation reports
- Monitoring construction progress
- Checking progress bills of contractors and project Consultants and recommending for payments
- Coordination with Project Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities to achieve project targets.
- Preparation of EOC papers/Board papers for necessary approval for major Construction projects under taken
by the Bank - Any other official duties and responsibilities instructed by the bank which is within the capabilities and/or
expertise of the employee to perform. - Adhere to rules and regulations imposed by the Bank from time to time.
Qualifications and experience
- Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Should possess a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Quantity Surveying from a University or a degree awarding Institute recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka with minimum 5 years of post-qualifying experience in quantity surveying works in construction.
Age
- Age preferably below 45 years of age as at closing date of applications.
METHOD OF SELECTION
Shortlisted applicants based on the stipulated qualifications and experience will be called for an interview. The
appointment will be made on contract basis and performance will be evaluated annually.
REMUNERATION
An attractive and negotiable remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered
to the selected candidate for the above position.
