HEAD OF APPLICATION SYSTEMS
The key responsibilities involved in the position among others are,
- Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design and development of the Bank’s internal and customer applications.
- Work closely with the business to effectively translate business strategy and objectives into technological capability, while collaborating with architecture to assure technological compatibility and compliance with the architectural road map.
- Drive strategy and manage resources (both internal and vendor provided, on and off-shore) to ensure best in class solutions that are of high quality, cost effective (on budget), sustainable and market leading.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on software development tools, technology and agile development methodologies.
- Deliver operational excellence through development, formal release schedules and release management processes, service level agreements (SLAs), problem resolution through system monitoring and change management.
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/ Information Technology or related field
- Master of Science or Master of Business Administration (Preferable)
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Information Technology of which 07 years in a Senior Managerial position in technology and/or software development, leading technical teams.
- Detailed knowledge of software development tools, software development methodologies and agile software technologies.
- Proven success in the design/ delivery of complex, enterprise level software applications, project management, planning and organizational skills.
AGE
Age preferably below 50 years as at closing date of applications
METHOD OF SELECTION
Shortlisted applicants based on the stipulated qualifications and experience will be called for an interview.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This will be an Executive Management position (equivalent to the grade of Assistant General Manager) on contract basis and performance will be evaluated annually
REMUNERATION
An attractive and negotiable remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the selected candidate for the above position.
