LEGAL OFFICER

Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance:
- Ensure that all operations and business practices adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Contract Review:
- Analyze and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the interests of the company.
Litigation Management:
- Handle legal disputes, liaise with external legal counsel when necessary, and represent the company in legal proceedings.
Policy Development:
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies to mitigate legal risks.
Legal Advice:
- Provide timely and accurate legal advice to various departments within the organization, guiding them on legal matters affecting their operations.
Regulatory Monitoring:
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the insurance industry, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Hold a bachelor of laws degree (LLB) from a reputed university or institution and an attorney-at-law
- Proven track record as a Legal Officer
- Knowledge of insurance laws and regulations would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
