Assistant Manager/Manager – Credit Analysis (Wholesale Banking)
Job Role
We are looking for talented credit professionals to join our newly established Credit Analysis Unit within Wholesale Banking. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for conducting high quality financial and credit analysis for Large Corporates, Corporate Banking, Project Finance, and Emerging Corporates. This role is ideal for individuals who demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to handle complex transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare well structured, analytically robust credit proposals in line with internal credit standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive financial, business, and industry analysis, including historical performance, forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to understand deal requirements and ensure appropriate credit structuring.
- Evaluate financial statements, projections, business plans, project feasibility studies, and market dynamics as part of due diligence.
- Support the end to end underwriting process, including credit memos, covenant setting, rating assessments, and responding to approver queries.
- Monitor credit exposures, covenant compliance, and portfolio performance; support early warning identification. Prepare stress tests, industry assessments, and credit opinion notes as required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure audit ready documentation at all times.
- Use credit systems, financial models, and CRM tools effectively to enhance analytical quality.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, ACCA etc. are preferred.
- Postgraduate qualifications in credit /risk/finance will be an advantage.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis (banking or financial services).
- Experience working with large corporates or project finance will be an added advantage.

- Excellent written communication and credit memo drafting skills
