CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

NSB is seeking an experienced CIO to lead the Bank’s ICT function. The person should be able to derive the Bank’s ICT vision and strategy and streamline banking operations by adopting digital solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Overall, in charge of the final products of the internally developed software solutions and ensure its quality and usability by other departments.
Responsible for third party software solutions implemented in the Bank automating its products and functionalities and ensure its quality and usability by other departments.
Overall, in charge of the information for its safety and integrity according to the Central Bank rules and regulations of the Data Security and Business Continuity
Overall responsibility of Core Banking Project implementation
Evaluating and proposing industry standard security solutions for the IT infrastructure
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to make sure the Bank’s IT infrastructure is robust, failsafe and secured including DR site.
Provide required information through the system for reports and MIS.
Lead and organize staff during a disaster as per the recovery strategies identified.
Review and update Business Impact Analysis, Functional Recovery Procedure/s and Call Trees for recovery activities.
Control the BCP documents, implement recovery procedures and evaluate business impacts at the division with other staff members in the IT Division
Ensure conducting of employee awareness programmes on BCP at the IT Division
Build and update ICT skills and capabilities of the team.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering and/or Professional qualifications in ICT
Fifteen years experience of which 05 years should be in a similar capacity. Experience in a Bank or financial institution will be a definite advantage.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

Permanent cadre or contract basis depending on candidate’s preference.
