Applications are invited for the Chief Engineer job vacancy at the Bank of Ceylon.

We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the vacancy for the following position;

CHIEF ENGINEER – TECHNICAL SERVICES (ON CONTRACT BASIS)

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of bidding documents in line with Procurement Guideline
• Evaluation of bids in line with bidding documents and Procurement Guidelines
• Completion of infrastructures on time within the allocated budget with required quality and complied with regulatory requirement.
• Ensure uninterrupted facilities such as power, air-condition, security alarm, smoke detection, CCTV for the Bank premises
• Proper maintenance of the Bank premises including welfare premises (staff holiday homes/bungalows)
• Introduction of new concepts, cost effective measures for the benefit of the Bank

Eligibility Criteria

• Should be a citizen of Srilanka
  AND
• Educational/ Professional Qualifications:
  Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university approved by the UGC Sri Lanka AND
  A qualified Chartered Engineer with Corporate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) or any other equivalent institution acceptable by the Bank
• Experience:
  Minimum of 15 years post qualifying experience in the capacity of Civil Engineer, Project Manager and Consultant in building constructions in a reputed organization
• Other Attributes:

• Should be a very good team player.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Ability to travel to outstation branches on demand basis.

• Age:
  50 years or below as at the closing date

General

• This position is fixed-term contract for 03 years; the performance will be reviewed annually.
• Compensation will not be limiting factor for the right candidate. It will commensurate with qualifications and experience

The candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on the above eligibility criteria; the final selection will be done through an interview process.
